Risalente a circa 300 anni fa, il George offre sistemazioni confortevoli per i turisti in visita alla città storica di Battle, il luogo dove la storia inglese è cambiata per sempre, e al campo di battaglia dove ha combattuto Guglielmo il Conquistatore.

Il George è stato fondato nel 1699, su un sito in cui era già presente da oltre 600 anni una locanda. Utilizzato in precedenza come sede del municipio di Battle, l'edificio del George funse da tribunale militare durante le guerre napoleoniche.

Tutte le camere sono state recentemente rinnovate e dispongono di un bagno interno, una TV e un set per la preparazione di tè e caffè, mentre la suite vanta anche una vasca idromassaggio.

Trovandosi a 5 minuti a piedi dalla pittoresca Abbazia di Battle, la struttura è meta di tour e ospita spesso ricevimenti di nozze. La stessa città di Battle offre un’ampia scelta di negozi e ristoranti, e dalla stazione ferroviaria partono linee dirette per le stazioni londinesi di Charing Cross e London Bridge, mentre le località balneari di Hastings e Bexhill-on-Sea distano meno di 20 minuti d'auto.

Siete pregati di notare che la struttura non dispone di ascensore e tutti gli ambienti sono rigorosamente non-fumatori.
